Our fifth graders revisited their kindergarten teachers today to thank them and to also remember where they started. They even got to revisit kinder centers. Full circle!

We had marine biologist Nancy Caruso spend time at our school this week with touch tanks from the Ocean Institute in the harbor. We sure learned a lot and the students absolutely loved every minute.

But we know you’ll be back to visit in between golf games and travels and we can’t wait. 🎉🏌🏼‍♀️✈️😁¡Celebrando a nuestra líder esta semana mientras se prepara para jubilarse en tan solo unos días! ¡Su legado vivirá en todas las vidas que ha tocado, Sra. Tonight we celebrated our incredible Steps student Ben at the district’s Most Inspiring Student Award ceremony. His joyfulness and acceptance of all students has been a beautiful thing to watch. Thank you, Ben for helping us become more inclusive and more accepting of everyone at our school. We will miss you as you move onto middle school.

Welcome back from spring break everyone. We were able to celebrate Señora Jacome’s artistic abilities over the break as she painted an elephant that represented all things RH Dana and Dana Point for a fundraiser for elephant Conservancy. We love being a part of the Dana Point community and being a part of something bigger than ourselves. Mike, the owner of Killer Dana surf store is an alumni. He represents community businesses and even kept the thrifty ice cream store alive inside the location he took over that was an old Rite Aid store. Welcome back from break!
