Hispanic heritage FIESTA
Friday, September 19th - 4:30-7:30pm
What we need from you
The following are the countries we are representing at the event this year! Due to our short time frame until the event, we grouped grades together, simplified the displays, and are asking for "meals" instead of tapas. Join your countries' WhatsApp group so you can collaborate, and sign up to volunteer below!
Please join us on September 19, from 4:30pm to 7:30pm for our 3rd Annual Hispanic Heritage Fiesta! Get ready for an exciting evening learning about and celebrating various countries, their people and cultures. This year, grades will be working together to create booths with decorations, information, and delicious meals from various Hispanic countries. At the event, we invite you to visit each booth, learn about their country, and try their delicious dishes prepared by our community of parents. We will also have entertainment, crafts, music, dancing, and more!
This fiesta takes a village! Please join our Fiesta planning meetings on September 5th, and September 12th, in Room P12 immediately after the morning assembly! Help us plan this wonderful event! We can’t do it without you!

Event Background
In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, which is September 15 - October 15, R.H. Dana students learn about various Hispanic cultures around the world in class. To tie it all together and celebrate, the PTA hosted our 2nd annual Hispanic Heritage Fiesta last year! It was a wonderful event where each grade created a booth with decorations, information and tapas from different Hispanic countries. We had entertainment, crafts, music, dancing, and more. Our goal is celebrate the various Hispanic cultures around the world as well as help create and strengthen our own school community.
Watch a video from last year's event!
We would like to replicate this event, but it requires a team of volunteers to make it happen. Help us kick off the school year right!
