Each grade was assigned a country to research for Hispanic Heritage month. During the fiesta they will have a “stand” where they will display what they learned. We invite you to visit each stand and even try tapas from each country (limited quantities). Class countries are:
TK - Nicaragua
Kinder - Colombia
1st grade - Mexico
2nd grade - Peru
3rd grade - Argentina
4th grade - Costa Rica
5th grade - Cuba
Food options
Parent volunteers from each grade have stepped up to prepare tasty tapas from their assigned country. The Sabores Latinos passport card will allow you to try one tapa from each country. Only 150 passport cards will be sold. Pizza, elote and beverages will be available for purchase. ***Please keep in mind that the servings from each country are tapas (finger food), so they will not be large portions.
Other Activities
Crafts: There will be various crafts to choose from! Some will have a fee to cover cost of supplies. Frida Kahlo flower crown, Ojo de dios yarn craft, Marigold flower necklace
Loteria: Two loteria games will take place in the MPR - 5pm and 6pm. Only 50 players per game so sign up early!
